In the scorching summer of 2019, with temperatures soaring and the heat becoming unbearable, The Krisar Academy took a thoughtful and impactful initiative. We launched the Summer Water Awareness Drive, an event designed to highlight the critical importance of hydration and to provide relief to the community.
Compassion in Action
Under the compassionate leadership of our respected Chairman, Mr. K. K. Rajan, we organized free drinking water spots in various public areas. The primary goal was simple yet profound: to serve the community. With many people, including daily wage workers and travelers, exposed to the harsh sun, our school stepped up with a heartwarming act of service.
Free Water Spots: A Simple Yet Impactful Step
Strategically placed near bus stops, busy streets, and parks, these free water stations became oases of relief. They offered clean, cool drinking water to anyone in need. But it wasn't just about the water tanks; it was about the people behind them.
Our students volunteered enthusiastically. They took shifts to man the stations, distribute water, refill containers, and engage with the public. They didn't just pour water; they spread smiles and kindness.
Learning Through Service
This drive was a powerful educational experience. It taught our students that education does not happen only within four walls.
"Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on earth." - Muhammad Ali
Students gained first-hand experience in community service, empathy, and social responsibility. They understood that even a small act of kindness, like offering a glass of water, can make a big difference in someone’s day. Chairman Mr. K. K. Rajan encouraged every student to participate, reminding them that serving humanity is one of the highest forms of education.
A Community Inspired
The public deeply appreciated this thoughtful gesture. Many passersby stopped to thank the students, and some were even inspired to carry water bottles to share with others. The drive created a ripple effect of awareness, reminding everyone to stay hydrated and to be mindful of those who might not have easy access to water.
So, the next time the sun beats down, remember the lesson from our students: don’t forget to drink water and offer some to those around you. Because kindness, like water, should flow freely.
